Welcome, I'm so glad you are here! My name is Jodi, I am a mom of two, wife, daughter, and sister. We have a small farm north of Sundre with horses, cows and pigs. I am also a Medical Office Assistant at a local medical clinic. I am an outdoors lover. Hunting, fishing, camping, even just reading outside! Keep me in the house too long and I tend to go a little crazy! Read below how my passion of boudoir photography came to light!
The beginning
I first fell in love with boudoir photography when I experienced it first hand in 2024. It was a wedding gift for my husband, but little did I know that it would also be a gift for myself! It was such an amazing experience, I felt on top of the world. Like I could accomplish anything. I felt fierce, sexy, and powerful. Then I got my photo's back, wow! That feeling enhanced tenfold. I still look at those photo's whenever I have a bad day, self conscious or just need a little pick me up.With all my bosting to friends and family, one of those people asked me to help her take similar photos for her husband for Christmas, as she couldn't afford a photographer. I told her I'd help her out as a friend but little did I know she was actually helping me. It ignited a passion in me that I didn't know I had. Seeing her light up, watching her actually see herself and see how beautiful she is, with pictures that I took. It was such a rewarding, proud, and powerful feeling, and it was SO MUCH FUN!That was how Untamed Boudoir Photography was created. I pulled out that old DSLR camera hiding in my basement, started researching settings, techniques, poses, lighting you name it! Reading books, watching you tube videos, listening to podcasts, joining courses. Practicing as much as possible on my friends and family, even myself!
