The Real Deal on AI and My Website
Okay, let’s be real here. AI is absolutely amazing for some things, but it can also be destructive. I created my website myself with Wix, and it took me about three months to get it just right, working on it on and off. Mind you, I’m pretty decent with technology, but I’m not a wizard. Not gonna lie, I definitely used AI to help out. It created some templates for me to plop things into and even helped me find some wording. But I refused to let it type the entire thing. I wanted you to hear my voice when reading through my website, not the voice of AI.
The things I type are part of my personality. Choosing a boudoir photographer is a lot about who they are and how they’re going to make you feel. You can’t tell that from an AI-generated website.
The Struggle with AI-Generated Blogs
You also can’t tell that with AI-generated blogs. I can only imagine the number of people who rely on that. Since I went live, Wix has generated a weekly blog for me to "approve & post." I’ll tell you one thing: man, did I want to say yes to all of them! Especially lately, I’ve been slammed! But that goes against everything I’m trying to create. I’m aiming for more realism in the world—more uniqueness, more women who believe in themselves and love themselves for exactly who they are.
How are you going to trust me to be real with you if everything I’ve "blogged" isn’t even me?!
The Promise of Authenticity
Now, some of those AI-generated blogs are super informative, and I’m definitely going to use them as ideas to riff off of. But here’s my promise to you: I will never post an AI-generated blog!
I might post AI-generated posters—because, holy smokes, has that saved my life! I might even use an AI-generated caption under my Instagram photo because I’m just not the "trendy" Instagram girl with the super cute captions. But I will never blog an AI post. I want my blogs to be real, to be me.
A Peek into My World
Speaking of being me, my next blog is going to dive deeper into who I am at my core. But that’ll have to wait until after March 28 when my accountant comes. I’ve got another shoot to finish, and I need to tackle the rest of the bookkeeping for our two businesses plus both our personal finances. So far, I’ve only managed to get through May on the farm. Ugggg, I’m so behind!
Final Thoughts
I’m so excited for what’s to come. Stay tuned for my next blog, where I’ll share more about my journey and what inspires me to do this work. Remember, you are beautiful, you are powerful, and you deserve to celebrate yourself!
Until next time!
